People of Exworks come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, yet we're unified by a passion for taking on a challenge, and having fun while doing it.
The team
Melih is responsible for managing and growing Exworks as well as working directly with clients to help aling their event planning strategy with their business strategy.
Melih began his career working part-time in concert organizations, where he first met the fast paced life of events, learned the need for quick problem solving, and to be proud of being part of a organization well executed. In 2004, he set sail to the land down under, Australia, working as a bussiness development and regional sales manager for one of the biggest upholstery fabric manufacturers in Turkey. Followed by another year in New Zealand and South Africa, the event world started to beckon.
In 2007, he became the project head of IstExpo, founded by Ismail Sezen, together they organized the GYODER Real Estate Summit and Istanbul REstate Real Estate and Investment Fair. He joined the ranks of Ikon Events, as the fair director for All Arts Istanbul Traditional Arts Fair, and sales and operations manager for Contemporary Istanbul between 2010 and 2015. During that time, he spent a year as the Turkish Pavillion Manager at Expo 2012 Yeosu International Exhibition. Melih founded Exworks in 2014, and is providing strategic consultancy services to event organizers, exhibitors, and subcontractors alike.
Melih is an alumni of Sisli Terakki College, holds a bachelors degree inbussiness management and is writing his thesis for his degree in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering.
